This is a crappy photo I took through my 4” tabletop scope using my phone a few years ago when I was first starting out.

I tried to get a shot of Jupiter and the Gallilean moons and got what I think is a meteor entering or satellite or something? Any idea what the streak might be? I know it’s terrible quality haha

Can definitely identify Jupiter and moons and quite a sharp round planet disc for the gear.
As for the streak, I very much doubt anything in space or in earth orbit as its too curved,,,
It probably quite safe suggesting a close flying bug or similar being lit up by some nearby light source, could easily be wrong but they are my initial thoughts...

Hi there Graeme, I think i might have to agree with Bob, I don't think it is space related, but then I am too just guessing I suppose.

Yep, very fluffy. Moth probably. Mind you, a moth the diameter of a Galilean moon is not to be trifled with!
