Hello my friends.
Silly question but I have been running a 2A Regulated 13.8 DC out
but only this other one I forgot I had.
Should I be using this Electrophone Re DC Power supply otput 13.8
7 Amp peak.
Im only running Meade lx200 14in SMT and Dew heater and some power to run my ZWO cameras.
I will include pic on the power supply.
So which is better and safer to use.
Big thanks in advance
cheers Steve :thanx:

Hi Steve, I think the 7amp supply would be better as you are certain of having enough supply. Both are 13.8v which is good. Your scope will only draw what amps it needs so with 7amps you are certain to have enough. Volts are pushed in. Amps are drawn.
Cheers, Richard
Ps I use a 7amp supply from Bintel

I’ve used these power supplies for over 6 years now and not one has failed yet !!

3 used in my Dome south coast NSW ( EQ8-R pro mount , Kendrick dew heater system , Startech 4 port industrial hub and ZWO 2600MM camera etc… )
3 used in my backyard outdoor workstation near my rig in Sydney ( EQ6-R pro mount , Kendrick dew heater system , Startech 4 port industrial hub and ZWO 2600MM camera etc… )

I did change the plugs to heavy duty 15Amp in lieu of existing 10 Amp
