Back in 2020, there was a discussion here about resolution of Saturn's Encke Gap. For those folks that missed it, or were not around add that time, it is a worthwhile read. Located here:

This was happening around the time of a very close approach of Saturn to Earth's position. :eyepop:

This leads into the great topic of "Wishful Seeing". I would like to have a dollar for every time I have heard a claim which the scope is use could not deliver. I recall a thread on Cloudy Nights forum where "imagination made it so".

Yes, I followed that discussion with interest at the time.

Those that want to chase an observation will probably have to wait a few years for the rings to open up again after they move through their edge on position. I think the rings are edge on in the first half of next year.
