Hi

Attached is an image of the sun taken on the 22nd May at Ha wavelength.
Taken through a 100mm ED f/9 telescope + spectroheliograph + ASI 183MM camera.

Best 6 frames of 20 selected and stacked with AutoStakkert3!

A lot of detail in that SHG image Maurice - esp. the filaments.
Well recorded.

For the members who are not familiar with the spectroheliograph (SHG) - it's basically a hi resolution spectroscope fitted to a telescope.
It has the potential (as can be seen here) to image the Sun in any wavelength - Cak, Mg, Na, Ha etc. etc.
Much more flexible than traditional commercial solar filters, Oh and much cheaper!
