Hi All,

After buying a Meade LX90 in 2010 (nearly 14 years ago), I decided to upgrade to a dedicated astro camera a few weeks ago.

Last night, Sydney had a break in the weather so I finally managed to give it a try for the first "real" image.

Using the Meade ACF 0.68 reducer (which Meade finally released earlier this year), the focal length of the setup is 1360mm.

I am pretty happy with the result for a quick test after work (although it needs some more data)..

Telescope: Meade LX90
Mount: AZ-EQ6 GT
Exposures: 10 x 180s lights, 20 x flats and darks
Reducer: Meade ACF 0.68x reducer (release by Meade earlier this year)
Camera: ZWO 2600
Guide Camera: ZWO 220
Capture software: ASIAir
Processed in PixInsight trial edition
Polar aligned using PHD2 drift alignment

Cheers,
Mark

For only 30 minutes of data, that's a very good image! Love the colours in there, too.
