Hi all, thought I share my latest attempt at this elusive comet. The weather gods were kind to me on Sunday with a band of low cloud moving out of my way just in time.
Taken with a Canon 200mm lens, fujifilm x-t2 on the home made barndoor tracker.
With no moon in the sky it really makes a big difference!
Pic is 31 x 15sec iso 2000. Lost 6 frames due to trailing but not bad for a cheap home made job.
Processed in Deepskystacker, Siril and Photoshop.
Little noisy but quiet happy with the results. The ion tail goes right off frame!
Thanks for peaking and hope more of you get the chance to capture this one!
Cheers

That's a stunning image Gary!
Unfortunately we've had continual cloud cover over our region and I haven't even gotten a glimpse with binoculars. I'm hoping I'll catch it soon or I'll have to wait till next time it comes around, I'll only be 135 years old by then.
I guess I can wait........
I'm guessing tracking and imaging quality will blow my mind then?

Thanks Pete,Morton, Leo and Dave!
Cleared up tonight except the western horizon had a big band of cloud.
It's a tough one to capture!
Maybe tomorrow!
