Once the cloud cleared and the moon finally cleared my neighbour's trees was able to get some reasonable data. Prior to this I did some more work on the collimation it is spot on after some tweaks using Metaguide.

Posted image is of Theophilus and Cyrillus taking with Eyepiece projection using a University Optics 25mm Orthoscope eyepiece, effective f Ratio was F16. Camera - ZWO ASI224MC, Telescope - 12" LX200 GPS on EQ Wedge.

Stacked and sharpened using AutoStakkert and colour balance with Registax.

Enjoy.

Cheers Anthony

Ok, now you are doing justice to the aperture.
Looks like the eyepiece projection worked well.

An old method but it works. Barlows aren’t out of the question just the two I have, a Klee 2.8x an a Bintel 2.5x probably offers to much in mag for the camera. Have ordered a Baader Q-Barlow 2.25/1.3x (cheaper than a Powermate) to play around with. Idea is to take the lens element and attach to the T-piece to get a desired f ratio close to f13 or greater, I hope. The link may help to understand.

As I have a lathe I am going to modify the Bintel 2.5x in to a T-piece just for fun and see how it will perform. Probably best for the ATM thread.

Great image, Anthony ditto Gassendi and Aristarchus. Aristarchus is a trick to get all the detail given the huge dynamic range of its surface vs immediate surrounds.
Great to see more Lunar pics on the forum!
There’s always room for improvement for every pic of every crater on the moon!!!😂.

My wife doesn’t understand that we are all on a mission to capture the perfect image of every crater at every phase. She says, cruelly, “didn’t you already take a photo of that?”
