View Full Version here: : Twin adapter to the inverter
Good Morning to you all, I would like to ask this question from those who would know please.
I have a 500W inverter and was wondering if I would have a reduction of power to what I was plugging in if i connect the following to the inverter.
The inverter is there to run recharging of camera batteries and maybe run a laptop, the inverter is pure sine wave.:)
The lead with the two adapters is only very short 600mm.
Thank you.
Leon:thumbsup:

Here is what is hanging off one of my 500 watt inverters Leon.

Oh, well alex it seems that a lappy wouldn't have an issue, thank you.

Hi Leon - just be careful how much you put on there...
make sure the combined power you are drawing does not exceed the inverters capability...they can do funky stuff to the sine wave if they run out of capacity, and that can damage electronic devices....
A couple of chargers, a scope and a lappie should be fine - they dont draw much, but if you try to run a blow heater or something....:scared::mad2:

No worries for you I expect Leon.
That unit has two camper fridges, my modem, phone charger ... it is a decent inverter however but still rated 500 watts.
alex
Thanks Guys, it will run at most one camera battery charger and/or maybe a 4G Telstra WiFi modem and/or a Lappy, however not all at the same time I expect.

Since last here I have put together a 340 amp battery bank consisting of 3 12 vlt, old ones that I recently replaced only to find they are quiet good :D , a small solar panel probably 80 watts, a small regulator, and a 500 watt inverter for which I paid $100 ...the idea is this can serve as a back up...I have yet to add a small charger but frankly I pushed a little too long so I need to rest now.
Anyways very happy with it all.

I wired up the batteries where they sat after removal and strangely it worked out great...

Good to hear Alex, nothing like a job well done, take care.
