Strange Suspicious Messages

Hi Guys, Alice has been experiencing some strange messages in the last few days.
They seem to come from an email account and end up in her ordinary phone messages.

She or me don't know this person and have no idea where it is coming from.

She, Alice deletes them but they just keep coming back, it is pretty weird really. :shrug:

Should she be worried.:shrug:

+sigh+ Spam and scams, the bane of the Internet for as long as I can remember. (Although a do recall the days pre-WorldWideWeb with a sense of nostalgia...)

Hi Leon,


It's a common type of spam/scam. Never reply to them. Deleting them is correct. You can report them to Scamwatch ( https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/ ) or use the Report Spam link at the bottom of your messages there - that should auto block them as well.

Well, it still going on continuous messages from this fellow that we don't even know.

The message comes with an email address attached on the top of the message but no phone number as such, so we can't block the number as there is none.:shrug:

So what else might we be able to do please, he just asks for money all the time, and each time Alice deletes it he comes back with another message. :mad2:

If so hold finger on message up comes..pin to top...add to black list...delet conversation...select....add too blacklist...

You may be able to report it to one of the Australian scam sites. I believe they give the option of providing original email address.

Just do the report scam thing then block the recipient

When a Pizza shop asks you or your ph. number, give them a false one. Same for any company aside from a small one where you know they need to call you, like the mechanic or the plumber. You can say, "I don't want to give it" and you'll be told it's company policy, so why bother, just reverse the last two digits of your own.


Now get a new sim card and then message all your friends your new number. Or, simply put up with spam for the rest of your life, complaining to your friends and anyone who'll listen.
