A clear night and a late moon rise allowed me to grab the Vela Supernova Remnant last night.
8 inch f4 Bintel Newtonian. Baader MPCC and UHCS filter. Eos Ra. Hand guided with off axis guider. Processed with Siril and Photoshop.
Full size on Astrobin (https://www.astrobin.com/yl15lm/)

Excellent amount of detail revealed for a short integration and only a UHC filter!

Thanks. I like imaging at F4. A full stop quicker than my 10 inch f5.6 and easier to carry, set up and less wind affected.

That's pretty good for a mere hours work Scotty

Scott, you're the only person I know who is still hand guiding. Every time I read that you are still doing this, it takes me back to the mid 80's hand guiding with film cameras and using a guide scope with a reticle. Great result for such a huge effort.:thumbsup:
