Sol 25/3/24

Bit late to the party in posting these from yesterday, Sol is putting on some nice activity, including Sunday night, Monday mornings Auroral display for some lucky people, as a result of an X class flare and CME from AR3615.
So many sunspots and some large prominences to savour.

I really think I need to find my cheap slip on 8" solar filter.
I've never tried to image the sun but I see the most amazing images here. And it's more common than clear nights in my region.....

Thanks for the headsup JW, have corrected the number, unfortunately the AR is approaching the limb now.
Find your filter Leo, there are plenty of spots to see as Sol ramps up to solar max, so is always worth a look, though Ha is awesome.
