Compiled from one hundred 120-second exposures taken with a ZWO ASI2600Mc ro camera and a Skywatcher Esprit 100mm refractor on a ZWO AM5 mount,The sequence was unguided. Processed in PixInsight and Photoshop.

You got the Helmet. Mate with 100 exposures Im surprised there is that much noise though. PI will do it for you. Get rid of some of it and it would be easier to see. Also I feel it does not require a crop.
Well done for capturing it. Keep it up.

120 second exposures unguided at 550mm focal length??? Your polar alignment skills put me in the shade Tim.
I love version 2 with the extra processing. What’s the Bortle scale at your site out of interest?

Not sure about the Bortle value - I suspect it is between 3 and 4 - I am above the Cowra main street light dome, so the southern view is pretty good.

I do spend a lot of time on polar alignment - I try to get the residual error down below five arc secs on the combined axes. With the AM5, it usually takes about 20 minutes.
