I was surprised to find the BBC/Sky at Night magazine reached out to me recently asking
whether I'd write a piece for their upcoming May edition on how I created my runner-up solar image for the the 2023 comp....and get paid for the privilege :)

I decided to share the method.... which got christened the WST (Ward Solar Transform) effect.
Probably won't be as popular as the Ken Burns effect :lol:

I was delighted to see the The Sky at Night issue in my letterbox last week.
Also pondered the sad demise of AS&T and why it may have folded. Not enough local content? Who knows.

Thinking of things folding...I much prefer a real magazine over a digital copy. Doesn't need software, screens or batteries. You can thumb through the pages with ease. What a concept! :).
