Decided to take a look at the sun again today despite strong, gusty winds. I found a sheltered spot to set up and snapped some images of the disk and found some new activity.
First shot was taken with Meade DSX90-AT and second is a crop of an image taken with Skywatcher 200mm F5 Newtonian plus Meade Variable Projection adapter and Vixen LV20mm eyepiece.
p.s. The only trouble with imaging and observing the sun is a touch of winter sunburn
Excellent work Steve.

Thanks Andrew. There won't be any images today as we have total cloud cover here in the west .... never mind it will give my skin a bit of relief !
lol, winter sunburn, you must be spending alot of your outside hours under the moonlight and not getting much sun in the summer
Nice images!

Cheers Ken !
I wanted to image the next day because the sunspots were right in the centre of the disk and looked larger when I had a quick look through holes in cloud cover with my Newt filter attached to my 9x50 finder scope ( handy little filter ). By the time I had setup my other equipment the cloud cover was completely obscuring everything and that was the situation for the next 2 days.
I took some shots yesterday but things were quite boring .... only the 2 main spots visible with no extra facets etc.
Clear skies again today so I may check things out later.
