Monday 8th June I read the replies to my Toucam photograph. I was under the impression that all the AVI recordings I made (28) over the month of May were 640 x 480 res and it came as a surprise to read I had used low resolution. As stated in my last submission to this forum, I always open the Toucam control and click on 640 x 480 apply and OK before saving and if I didn't switch the Toucam program off, it would remain in high resolution.
Shown how to check each recorded AVI and to find nearly all were low resolution has left me even more confused.
Must I check each time I save prior to the next recording?
Can the resolution be locked high?
Is there an update to improve the Pro II?
Finally, I have been told one can remove noise by using dark frames. If this is so, is there a down load that explains how?
For the record and to prove I do try to use High Resolution the attached pic of the Crater Plato was, before being reduced for IIS, 640 x 480.:screwy:

G'Day Dennis,

I've had my ToUcam for about 2 years or so now, and only once has the resolution changed from 640x480 without me knowing and I think that may have been due to updating K3.

I assume you are using K3ccdtools for your capture software? I can't comment for other software.

You should also be able to upload full size (640x480) JPEG images to IIS is you select the appropriate level of JPEG compression, or better still "save for the web" in Photoshop if you have it.
