A collage of my published images for the calendar year 2023. A quite substantial and productive result for the year with 14 images uploaded to Astrobin. I've included images from three separate imaging rigs being my Canon 60Da/Samyang 14mm lens for very widefield work, an ASI6200 camera with a Canon EF200mm lens for widefield work and my QSI683 CCD / Tak TSA120 combination for medium field (1.5d) work. 2023 was definitely very kind for me but so far 2024 is not turning out to be very friendly with the last three new moon periods being clouded out. Lots of rain which is good for the country side but not good for imaging. If only it would rain during the day and clear up at night eh!? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of the year.

Wishing everyone clear skies for 2024.

Cheers,
Rodney

They're all great, but the Milky Way is the King :thumbsup:

Thanks for the feedback on the Milky Way images JA. I admit to being very happy with the way they turned out as well :)

Very nice indeed!
I must say, my 2023 year was pretty unproductive in the way of astro :(

Yes, life and the weather can get in the way sometimes. I trust that 2024 will allow for the capture and display of many more photons :)

Rodney,
A lovely presentation of your work , all great images
The last 3 months has been abysmal on the east coast of NSW for Astronomy in general and doesn’t look like improving until March.
Let’s hope we get more clear nights through the rest of 2024 so we can enjoy this wonderful hobby
Cheers
Martin

What a great selection of photos mate. Amazing work. I love your delicate treatment of the brighter stars in a lot of those shots too. I eagerly await clear skies that last for more than a few hours, and have high hopes for 2024 :)

I’ve really enjoyed your work this last year Rodney. Some marvellous shots there and such a variety of targets. All the best for 2024!

Thanks Dean, David and Mike. Given that the back end of last year was rained out it surprising that I managed to churn through any many projects as I did. The rain and cloudy weather so far means that I have at least two unfinished projects that are now 'parked' until next season. Still, we can always sit around and talk about past adventures :D
