Hi all again....:hi:
While I have been waiting for the moon to go and dark skies to return I have done some processing of some wideangle shots I did 2 weeks back when that nasty jetstream was at full bore!! Seeing was horrid, transparency was 9/10 and rather breezy...
Done some shots with my new 200mm f/2.8 lense of m20,21/m8 region and this shot in Ophiuchus of the pipe and the snake Dark Nebulae (Bernard- 65,66,67,72,74,77,78. etc)
I am quiet happy with how the final image has come out..
Details are: 12 x 150sec at f/3.2 , 1so 800 and canon 300d, stacked in deepskystacker and processed in PS. Slightly cropped as there was frame movement over exposures due to flexure. (need a tripod collar for it as its rather heavy!).
Cheers and Cs everyone.....

Very nice Gary, that's a lovely starfield and the dark lanes are really striking.

Great work

Hi Gary - Good effort. I particularly like the depth of information in the dark nebulosity. It is very easy to lose that. In the past before CCD's that area would all have been in black. Not now!

This object is on my hit list for next new moon. I want to do 3x10mins in each colour. Let's see how the weather treats us.

Keep up the good work.

Wow that looks fantastic! Top shot. I don't think the 200mm cares about the seeing. :)

Thanks Ric...., it is a lovely area to image but I don`t see many images around of this region..

Thanks Leon I like how it has turned out with lots of depth to it!!!

Thanks Andrew, I love this lense, its great compared to my older telephotos!

Thanks Monte... I look forwards to seeing your closeup with the Tak and SBIG..will be a stunner!

Thanks Houghy..., youre a big kidder hey..

Thanks Steve for the comment..:), yeah the focal length is short enough not to show it but I have lost 5 frames due to big wind gusts.

Here comes a plug...:P
Many thanks to everyone in IIS community over the last year for all there help and comments. My imaging and processing have come a long way since I have joined and I hope I have helped others along the way!!
If I didn`t join up I would be nowwhere near where I am now in my processing and iamging, and I am still learning and listening..:)..Its a long road but I am enjoying the journey!!!...
cheers
