Hi Guys - Here is a Rho I did last new moon. It is 3x10mins for each colour channel. No Luminance.
I am happier with the processing but its not perfect.
I think I need to get more colour data so I dont have to push the globular cluster so much and lose the core.

STL-11000m and FSQ-106.
There is a meteorite trail in part and I haven't been bothered to clean it up yet.

That is SPECTACULAR :eyepop: :eyepop:
We must admit never having observed this particular region and have never seen an image of Rho Ophiuchi and the colourful surrounds before.
It's one of the most beautiful images we have ever seen. The colour balance is stunning Monte ..................... IT'S A GEM

Hi Monte,
this is, as everyone has said, a damn fine image .
Processing looks very well done and so do the colours.
The stars are nice and sharp so focus was good as well as conditions look pretty good??
Perhaps a wee tad noisy, and more rgb subs would have helped for sure, or perhaps some Lum. BUT, even so, the image is maintained very well.
The meteorite trail is, imo, a natural occurrence and adds to the mystery.
There will always be something in our own images that we'll pick to pieces and in the end, sometimes, it comes down to what we can get in the short space of time.. perhaps the weather, hardware/ software or life commitments.... always seem to get in the way.
No, I like it, I like it a lot!;)
Well done
Cheers
Rich
What a beauty Monte, very detailed and full of colour. The meteor trail sets it off perfectly, such a natural effect.

stunning photo well done. I tried shooting this the other night set up a auto run for the RGB went inside. After about 1 hour went and checked everything to find my balance was out a bit and the images had stars elongated. I will try again when the clouds go away. It is raining in Rockhampton for once. Anyway love the photo. I don't no why more people shot this area it is beautiful.
