On my new 8" Dob i have a 9x50 finder scope but i would like to have a right angle viewer as it is to hard to view at high angles.

Can i get an adaptor i have looked and can't see where to put it?

I have looked at a new finder about $100 with a right angle eyepiece?

Can i just buy a cheap scope from ebay with a right angle eyepiece and mount that on the Dob, i would like not to have to drill new holes or anything like that yet?

You're better off getting the 8x50 or 9x50 RA finder brand new, from somewhere like Bintel or Andrews.

I wouldn't get one off a cheap scope - it most likely won't fit, and it will probably be a tiny one like 6x30 or something.

The ones you buy from Bintel/Andrews will fit straight onto the existing bracket.

Ok thanks mate, i was thinking about that unless i am going to drill holes i won't get it to fit.

It would cost me $60 anyway better to spend extra and get it to fit, i have been reading about thos argo finder systems, looks good just have to convince the boss to let me spnd the money but will leave that for another day and try and work out where all these stars and planets are.
