What they can do today is insane ... you would need to have a real good sense of ' situational awareness ' to know exactly where you are in the airspace.

Imagine a real Military ' dog fight ' with this capability.

I think "Insane" is underrated as a description. That Roman Candle spin would create intense G forces and I would imagine a lot of pilots would likely black out.

When I was living on the Amberley Air Base in 1974 ( I was posted to 82 Wing, Bomber Command ) I witness ( and many others on the Tarmac ) a ' simulated dog fight ' between a Mirage Fighter ( from 77 Squadron ) and an F111-C Fighter Bomber ( from 82 Wing ) no higher than 500ft directly over the Airbase. The F111-C was ' right up his clakker ' ..wings were fully swept back, the Mirage was ' twisting and turning ' all over the place ...I've never forgotten it... it was amazing....talk about an adrenaline rush ...!! It was the ' talk ' of the Airbase that day.... I miss those days....I need a ' time machine '...:)

For sure...

Although i'm certain they have systems to detect this and auto-correct until the pilot wakes up...

They probably also have limits set so that the plane wont allow
manoeuvres that would likely results in a blackout....i don't know this for sure, but it would make good sense...

I saw what the f35's could do down at the illawarra air show last year....absolutely astounding...

They do wear pressure suits and the pilots are taught to tense their muscles to maintain blood flow in required areas, I think with the aid of suits and training black outs and red outs are far less frequent.
I've never been sea or air sick but I think I'd want a bag with a wide opening going up in one of those, or a good window cleaner and lots of wipes. The dry cleaners would love me.

The jet is a model powered with a turbine and thrust directed through a vectoring nozzle. Several members in our local club fly scale jets. Mark

I started to question it when I realised that if it was real -

the G forces would knock the pilot out.

These new fighters use gen 3 anti g suits and allow crew to sustain much higher forces than ye olde versions.

The f35 can do some amazing parlour tricks but they are just that. It’s not meant to get close in. It’s meant to swarm, hide target hit from long range (ASEA or EOTS) that the opponents cannot see you It’s radar agility is absolutely top notch in that it can multi scan multi targets on different freq and pulse width shift them so rapidly, alter power and beam form (radar agility) the enemy cannot gets proper RAWS warnings. They have no idea you are there. They can scan huge areas of sky in milli seconds then use lower peer beam form to keep tgts tracked without being detected. Let’s say shift to EOTS as well

If tgt’d by EOTS ….then they have no idea as missiles incoming as they (depends on seeker type) only go active on last few flt seconds (if active guided) Their EOTS truly stunning. I was heavily involved with F18 Flir (Pavetack prior). This EOTS is a whole world better in range and agility by huge margins. Fire missiles at enemy behind you if necessary

It’s an acft too underrated by many It’s far better than they think. But does have limited weapons carriage and I hope they never try use them as bomb trucks
