Wouldn't they bring big money in Australia.
Sadly everyone seems to think their old, worthless junk is worth a fortune nowadays in Aus.
My old XD Fairmont Ghia with the 351, I sold the engine and scrapped the rest due to excessive rust, would fetch a fortune today, as would my original model V8 VB Commodore, another piece of rusted junk and as for my original HK Monaro I had as a teenager, someone said the other day how valuable it would be. A small pile of ferric oxide isn't worth crap I told them.
My current drive is a 32 year old Ford Falcon, it has minimal rust, nothing I can't cut out and weld myself yet the other cars were all much newer when I owned them and all had excessive rust. The Monaro was 8 years old if that and when I took it to a panel beater shop and asked them if they could cut the rust out the guy said "so you want me to cut this little patch of roof out and weld a new body around that do you?"
I asked if it was really that bad (I was 17 and knew nothing about cars) he told me it was in fact that bad.

My first car was a 1975 Holden Gemini TX. A 1.6 litre engine hooked up to a T-Bar auto, it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice custard. Now, years later, they're a bit of a collectors item and worth silly amounts for a car that age, even unrestored.
