Hello all,
Archimedes with great shadows on 22 October.
Hadley Rille top left with the Apollo 15 site just out of picture.

One of my favourite landmarks also visible: Palus Putredinus - the Putrid Marsh, which is just behind my all time number 1, Stagnum Glaciei - the Swamp of Ice.

Sadly the icy swamp has been "removed" from the lunar map by more sensible types, but relocate it and all the future water needs for exploration will be solved;).

Thanks guys. I'd like to say the detail is due to my incredible processing skills but I'm pretty sure it's this wonderful new camera I have.

ZWO 178mm. I'm doing nothing different to the DMK I've had for a few years but the detail is logarithms better.

2.4 micron pixels may be the clue although better minds than mine warn of oversampling at f10, which is what my little scope is. Can't see evidence of it though.
