Yes it would appear it is galaxy season. Actually, I am just catching up on a back log of image sets. Having time to process at present is a bit of novelty.

That said, this galaxy is one in Sculptor that I had been meaning to image for years. It is spiral galaxy which is about 45 degrees inclined to our position. Of interest is the numerous galaxies in the background presenting differing morphologies. I really like the one in the lower right corner which looks to be interacting with another galaxy.

Integration time for this image is was 24.3 hours and all data was taken at Swan Reach Imaging over the last couple of months.

A wonderful galaxy tour Paul with a great collection spread across the field.

Love this galaxy too, those faint arms really don't know what they want to do when they grow up .

Yeah, that's a very cool looking pair, makes one wish for a 24"-32" scope, on a high mountain, in a dessert, just in from the ocean... :)

Thanks Rodney for the comment.

Oh, if only I could even remotely afford doing that. I imagine that it would look a whole lot more detailed than my blurry looking image of the pair.
