Ok, I am late to the party on this one. I usually purchased my books from The Book Depository but just read they are no longer. Something about cost cuts with Amazon which I never knew they were affiliated with. Book Depository was great to purchase through, good price, free delivery, quality and no damaged on books received which couldn't be said when purchasing from Amazon. Are we slowly seeing the demise of print material?

In his 1982 novel Friday, Robert Heinlein writes a character who says,


"...we must now prepare the monastries for the coming Dark Age. Electronic records are too fragile; we must again have books, of stable inks and resistant paper."

Sounds like sage advice to me. It's a bit hard to Google how to fix something if there's no power, for example.
