I’m hoping to replace the 3 screws in my GSO 10” reflector- currently they have Philips head tops (which seem to slip a bit), I’m wanting to use hex keys.
Can anyone confirm the thread? I think they are M4. Is there anything special about them? Will any m4 screw work, provided it’s long enough?
Also, steel vs stainless - would it make a difference?

I cant confirm what thread they are, although the primary collimation screws are m4 x 0.7mm pitch.
I cant see them being anything special, unless they are brass tipped, which I highly doubt it. Just make sure you get the right pitch, and stainless preferably with the A4-70 marking on the head.

Joshua

Are Bob's Knobs still a thing? Less chance of dropping a tool onto your primary.
