Weird Exoplanet XO-3b

This Massive Exoplanet has a wierd orbit and is very close to its sun and orbits its sun in less than 4 days!!! :eyepop:

I have to wonder with these planets that orbit so quick, just how spherical they are, or if they would be shaped more like a aussie rules football. Surely the forces would stretch them like that?

Yep, a Planet that is 13 Jupiter masses screaming around its star in under 4 days would have to have some effect on its shape!!!! Man, thats flying!!!

Most likely its rotation is also in sync with revolution... it must be turning the same side to its sun all the time...

Great read Ken, wow what an amazing planet. It would certainly be exciting times living on that planet. I suspect we would all be very short and stocky to cope with the gravity.
