We flew to Perth in August and hired a motor-home.
I did some deep sky observing after the full moon with 15x70 binoculars from dark skies in WA in September.

Sep 2 from North Mandu lat -22.14 next to the Ningaloo Reef
Sep 3 Yardie Ck lat -22.32 next to the Ningaloo Reef
Sep 5, 58 km north of Carnarvon lat -24.52
Sep 6, 34 km north of Billabong Roadhouse lat -26.53
Sep 8 and 9 Yandanooka Hall lat -29.31
The attached photo of a planisphere was taken at Yandanooka, 340 km north of Perth

The North American and Veil nebulae were visible from the tropics, also eta Car, M8, M20, M17 and M16.
I also saw some galaxies; the Milky Way, LMC, SMC, M83 and NGCs 5128, 55 and 253.
The Andromeda galaxy M31 and M33 were high in the sky.
Two planetary nebulae M27 and the Helix were seen plus many open and globular clusters.
