I don't often see images of this one around, And I was looking for a target to fill in some time earlier in the year. Despite not really knowing what to expect, I framed this up anyway and set NINA to capturing what it could.

I've only just had the time to get around to processing the near-on 17 hours of data, and this is what I've come up with.

Click here to see it on Astrobin. (https://astrob.in/a5cpvb/0/) (recommended!)

Processing: (as best I can remember)

Stars:
LinearFit > ChannelCombination > SPCC > StarX > GHS > CurvesTransformation (Saturation only)

NB:
LinearFit > BlurX > NoiseX > StarX > GHS > ChannelCombination (SHO) > NarrowbandNormalisation > DarkStructureEnhance > CurvesTransformation

PixelMath to bring the stars back, then a very light BlurX to reduce star size.

Thanks for looking and Clear Skies!

You've brought out some lovely detail in there Josh, nice work  On the contrary, most winters in the past, it is normally a pretty popular target actually

Thanks Mike! I must've missed all the Prawn photos on here, oh well, I'll have to find something truly unique sometime. ;)
