Short Dew Bands?

As everyone knows the length of cable that comes with dew bands are quite long. Has anyone done a DIY and shorten them before? It will also save on weight but more importantly cable snags.

If they're the standard resistive type with no integrated controller then there is no polarity, they're basically a long flexible resistor. Have at it. The USB ones are current limited by the inherent resistance of the heating wire, so same-same, just 5v instead of 12v.

Haven’t done DIY, but W&W Astro (https://dewheater.com/) were happy to adjust the cable length to my requirement before shipping.
