Saturn in RGB & IR

Taken on the 24th a few days prior to opposition but I'm way behind on my processing. Good stable skies but lacking the transparency of previous attempts but just can't get the same detail. Still a worthy opportunity to snag a happy snap!

Very nice Saturn Dave, one advantage of the Rings becoming more edge on, is that the cloud bandings become more noticeable, which you have captured well and with some fortuitous timing, maybe catching a satellite transit over the next few years.

Thanks Jeff yes it’s interesting how the inclination changes the detail we see. I’ve had one or two nights this season when the banding has looked amazing even through the eyepiece displaying a variety of colours.
