After cleaning and collimating my c11 I finally managed to test it out on the moon. The first picture shows Ptolemaeus with lots of internal detail and the second shows Julius Caesar middle top and to the left of it the crater Boscovich.
At first I thought this crater had a processing artefact ( looks like a very dark ragged line ) which turns out to be Rima Boskovich . Apparently a very deep 40 Km crack in the surface. I was interested in finding its width but had no luck. Anyway Don’t think I did too much damage cleaning the corrector plate inside and out , though had to use several processes to do so.
Hope you like the pictures regards philip

Some great quality lunar closeups there Philip. Very interesting about that crack- there’s so many intriguing features to be found (not just craters!!) when you look around. I was out last night doing some lunar imaging as well so hopefully can post some soon too! Well done!!

Would like to see those, regards philip

Here are a couple more from last night. First one shows Alphonsus and arzhachel, the second picture Aristillis , autolychus and Archimedes. All the pictures were taken with a C11 at prime focus with an ASI290MM . In each case 5% of 10,000 frames were stacked in autostaker , wavelets in regitstax and levels and curves in gimp.

Wow they’re great. I love the ridges radiating away from aristillus. It’s one of my favourites to stop by during a visual session. Great work!

Excellent images Philip, hard to resist taking some moonage around 1st quarter. Was doing much the same last night but the seeing down here was not good, as usual !
Like the Archimedes image, catching some of the craterlets on its floor, not easy to do.

These things become more apparent during processing with registax
