A quick Corona Australis (just because it's there :-)

I put the SW Evolux 82ED on the mount to get a wider FOV. It's a nice light weight scope that has an excellent build quality and is very sharp with its flattener/reducer. It does however suffer from CA when shooting broadband but is terrific with NB filters. Anywho, I grabbed some time (~4.5hrs) on NGC6726 and surrounds using an ASI533MC and Antlia RGB Ultra filter which helps control CA and burban LP. Edited in PI using ABE, TGV, MMT, GHS, LHE and curves ... took a couple of attempts at editing to find a path that didn't blow the highlights. Sharing for fun. Thanks for looking. Alex

Nice capture Alex.
Mine had additional dust lanes that I thought was just a better photo with the RASA but it turned out those dust lanes were oil streaks on the sensor ( which I cleaned yesterday).
And I lost all my data ( ten hours) via the Askar so I am still trying.

Thanks Dave. I'm enjoying some OSC time atm where I can image targets and get a result somewhat quicker than mono. That said, I'm *really* liking mono and it's inherent flexibility :D

Thanks Alex. I missed your image and just had a look (edit: I actually saw it a few days ago) - very nice and now that you've mentioned it, yep, I can see the 2600's dreaded oil leaks. Keep at it, Alex, it's a marvellous part of the sky with a veritable smorgasbord of different 'things' ranging from galaxies to the large globular cluster. What happened to your 10hrs of Askar images? 2600 oil leak? Clouds?

I was trying to clear some space on my memory stick in the Asiair ...you hit a button so you can tick what you wish to delete ..I found out the hard way if you pressit twice it selects everything and so when I hit the delete everything was gone...
