Well done Rob, probably best target ever. Any way you do it is great, not many targets can relish that depth quite like Carina. I love that palette, Thor's Helmet really likes it too. You've done well.

Very well done Rob. Lovely and sharp, great detail and a wonderfully restrained palette.

About the only thing I can see 'wrong' is your star colours in image 1. They look a bit on the pink side to me.

Cheers,
V.

Steve, John and Alex, thanks for your comments. The stars did go a bit pinkish when I reduced them. I'll have to have another go in the software.
Cheers,Rob

A good job on creating a smooth image with your DSLR, pastel colours with tight stars. It's low in the evening now so you've managed a good result despite its elevation and position in the sky.

Thanks Michael. These pastel colours are what seem to come out of my camera and processing with Siril. I don't mind them but might have a fiddle in GIMP as well.

Tried a bit of GIMP. I think the detail is better, but a bit brown. Probably half between the 2 is probably better.

That’s a wonderfully detailed vista! I actually really like a bit of brown in my space-dirt. I feel it brings a bit more life to the image. But it’s all personal I guess

Thanks David. The brown is growing on me, Rob
