Spectrum magazine, Philip E Ross reports on a project by DARPA and NASA
to test flight a prototype nuclear powered rocket in 2026. The
demonstration is to explore the viability of faster trips to supply bases on
the Moon and Mars.

Please - no, don't do it........................or maybe it's an attempt to create a means to transfer product to a fixed orbit nuclear waste dump which won't affect local residents?
So much garbage sent up there already by self-serving inconsiderate imbeciles.
If the near space pollution of both redundant and surfeit working satellites is not enough, let's add a little nuclear waste to spice things up - wait for that to burn up on re-entry over Melbourne.

Maybe put it on hold until Japan has safely got rid of all that nasty water and Chernobyl is again fit for occupation.
