Hi everyone, here is my attempt at M20
EQ6R, quattro 250, stock canon 600D
DSS, Siril
I think it was 200 L, 120 F, and 30 each of D, DF and Bias
It looked ok on the original 9MB picture to my eyes, but I don’t know how it will look at 200KB.
Comments and tips welcome
Cheers, Rob
PS thanks to alpal for advice. Had to resize to 1.8MB before image would up load to 200KB

That’s pretty impressive for a stock DSLR, well done. And the stars are pretty tight at in the corners. Is this a crop or the full frame? Did you use a flattened?

Thanks Ronson. I did a little bit of a crop, not much. I use the skywatcher quattro F4 corrector.

I really like this. Subtle processing and natural colouring, but lovely detail and still quite deep. Nice one

Thanks Dave. Yes, with DSLRs, less is definitely more when processing, Rob

Thanks Alex, JA and Saturn488.Trifid is a great target. It has blues and red and has dust. It's relatively bright and small.
Cheers,Rob
Fantastic shot Rob. The blue side is hard to get and you did it so very well.

Thanks John. I like it if I can get the blue nebula to go around the sides of the red nebula a bit, Rob

A really nice image, Rob. You’ve nicely captured the subtle detail in the (blue) reflection nebula’s expansive dust and gas clouds - the Quattro and your processing skills with DSLR are both working well  Alex

Looks really nice. Maybe it could handle a bit more stretching to bring out the nebulae, and don't clip the black too much?
