Think I’ve blown mine.

Hey Mick,

I did something similar at the start of the year but it happened during an update.

It might be worth contacting Skywatcher Support even if it's out of warranty. I ended up sending mine to Tasco in Sydney (through Skywatcher Support) at they replaced mine for free and paid for the return postage.

I should still have their direct contact details if you wanted them.

Thanks Dan, I appreciate you reaching out.

I called Saxon today (Saxon heq5) who could only be helpful by supplying a new board at $369. In lieu of this I’ve commenced replacing components on the board after hours pouring over the forums.
If it fails I’ll purchase one from the UK which will cost me $AUD250 shipped! More palatable but still not ideal. Still amazed that a $2k mount doesn’t have much in the way of circuit protection.

Cheers, Mick.
