This is incredibly hard to process. It wasn't until I went into the James Webb Version that I understood why! It is incredibly contrasted with fine nebulosity and dust around the paw areas - making it hard to get right in processing. Anyway I like this version as it defines the main nebulosity well.

difficult or not...you've done a great job on it...I love the SHO version

Thanks Peter the reason it's difficult is the amount of different degrees of dust and nebulosity. Check out the james webb version to see what I mean!

Very good Paul.

I too like the colour variation of the SHO but the level of detail on the high-res in the first version is exquisite!

The composition and processing choice makes the red version look almost Biblical Paul, very cool :thumbsup:

Great work really nice detail and it was great seeing both versions. I feel both have their merits and reveal so much.

Thanks Geoff - I tried a few variations on mapping but the standard SHO gave the best result for this.



Yes I was torn between the detail in the Duo band and the contrast in the tri band so posted both LOL



LOL! thanks Mike the "emergence" of the cat's Paw out of the darkness does point to that!



Yep Martin Thanks. the whole set up left outside for night on end all night long and thank God no clouds or moon! Went through one cooling fan failure on the Camera though!
