newtonian star spikes - flocking? - m20

Hi All, will flocking my newtonian help with these really long star spikes or is this just the perks of imaging with a newtonian?

Nice shot Rory....always good to flock the tube, make sure you use a good quality flocking a s they can shed particles as they age. However it wont help with your spikes ... Personally I don't find spikes offensive its just the nature of the beast...
The only way to reduce them is to thin them down, but if it was me I'd leave it alone

Hey Peter, Thanks for the advice. I don't mind the star spikes. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt something I should easily be fixing.
