After another long break due to persistent clouds we encountered a very rare event yesterday morning. For some reason the sun did not attract the clouds. We had strong winds and fast moving clouds moving from north to south in the western half of the sky leaving the east (where the sun was) clear. Yeh!! The wind was blowing the scope around a fair bit but some sun is better than none.
We took a full disk mosaic in 393nm then some close up Ha images and finally a full disk mosaic in Ha. Some great filaments including a huge horse shoe in the NE, a floating prom in the SW, a new un-numbered region just visible in the north and a nice crown filaprom in the SSE.
