I'm quite liking this mono thing  That said, processing LRGB images is not as straightforward as I'd thought ... but that's what makes it fun ... apparently ... with a G&T in hand  Soooooo as I continue learning the basics of mono imaging ... it's almost OCD-like atm lol ... I decided to image something other than galaxies after stumbling upon NGC6559 while trawling through Astrobin for ideas. It's a beautiful part of the southern skies and is located a little east of the Lagoon Nebula. This is my 1st attempt at processing the data and I'm collecting more L tonight, and some Ha too. This version is a bit rough (eg. my cropping was crap, framing isn't quite right!) but current details are:

EdgeHD 8" with 0.7 R, ASI294MM, Antlia LRGB
~7hrs 10mins total
L: 26 x 180s, 15 x 300s
R: 30 x 180s
G: 30 x 180s
B: 30 x 180s, 1 x 300s
Stacked in APP, edited in PI, finished in PS. Cropped.

Hi-res is here (https://pbase.com/doogs38/image/173811710/original). Thanks for looking. Alex

PS I'm also setting up a NINA system for my SW120ED refractor which hasn't been used since Christmas. It was previously an Ekos/Kstars system (on a RPi4) which runs nicely but I wanted to try a miniPC (Mele 3Q). Should have it operational in the next few weeks wooo. Thanks for the tips John (Oska).

Excellent Chinese Dragon (Psychedelic Banana) Alex! Give this one a bash in SHO, the yellow is vivid! Be careful though: After a couple of SHO, mysteriously dust collects on the LRGB set :)

Wow that’s beautiful. Even as is, that’s got some stunning detail and the colour is marvellous. I kinda agree with you, if it were too easy I think we’d loose interest, but then again, it’s nice when a project works out well!!:D

Love the bright colours on this one, Alex, very cool.

Haha - psychodelic banana indeed, an apt description, John.

Thanks John, Dave and Steve - it is quite colourful even in its linear RGB form. Toss in some L and make a few curve tweaks and the colours really pop! I'd hoped to grab more L data last night but had um, finger troubles (that's code for a brain f@rt) and got a bunch of G instead :screwy: Alex

 Will do mate. Might have a crack at using the ASIAIR’s ‘plan’ feature. Alex

That is an awesome Alex. Pic. Yes it all takes time, especially if you start using pixinsight!!! I dont think it would be as rewarding if the pics just came out done! Although it would save a lot of time!

Thanks Craig and Alex. I did another version of this image that rolled in a bunch of Ha, and posted (https://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=206215)it in the Big Boys/Gals forum but they're a tough crowd lol ... and my processing skills are rank amateur at best :P
