given our terriffic weather at the moment we are missing out on a set of 4 sunspot groups. has anyone been able to take pictures of them in other parts of Australia

I'm with you David, haven't had a chance due to the clouds. But i'm hoping there might be a bit of sunshine over the weekend to get the ToUcam + digicam onto it.
There's some nice activity, for a solar minimum..

I've been following the progress of these sunspots ...it's great to see a bunch of them.Or is that a gaggle of sunspots..?

Had a look at these sunspots today myself (With the safe solar scope)
Amazing how active our sun is, this late in the solar cycle :confused:
