Hi am after recommendations for cleaning the inside surface of a C11 corrector plate. U tube abounds with information , removal of corrector plate is covered in several videos but cleaning is so varied . In some cases is worrying by its technique , for example lens wipes . I’m interested in some tips and recommendations from those that have done it. I’m thinking of cleaning with a few drops of dish washing liquid in water as with a mirror except keeping the secondary dry or using bintel fluid as on the front. However the first method would be more gentle and maybe more effective?

When I cleaned my C9.25 corrector plate I used a mix of Windex and distilled water. It worked very well, no scratches and no residue left on the inside of the corrector plate. There was no special ratio I just mixed a little of the Windex into the distilled water. Some people would probably disagree but this is that kind of hobby.
I have heard people use dishwashing liquid also and they have had no issues.
At the end of the day, making sure you clean away the residue, do not scratch it by using a soft fibre cloth and assemble in the same orientation are the main things.
It is not a hard task to accomplish just take your time and mark everything during disassembly.

Clear skies

Dr. Clay's formula is what I use with good results.

I use a similar procedure to "carlastronomy" using cotton balls and blue Windex dragged across the surface to be cleaned then thoroughly rinse with distilled water then air dry. Cheers Mark

I have used this method for cleaning a C14 Corrector plate, just use cotton wool for wiping.

I cleaned my 11 inch RASA plate...warm water and one drop of plain dishwashing liquid and cotton wool ...corner of paper towel to soak up water and used a puffer to help..the stuborn specks I used a cleaner pencil that Andrew ( RB) recommended but I forget its name but it is great...I will find it and advise it's name...but I am immobilized at the moment so be patient.

For both internal and external you can use corrector plate cleaner available at Bintel and other stores. It is non corrosive and will work well.
