WANTED - Unitron Model 128 (or Polarex)
2.4″ (60mm), FL 900mm Refractor
with Equatorial mounting
I you have one that is a bit unloved - I can offer it a home where it will be loved and cared for!
Nice if it is mint condition BUT any condition is fine (I will nurse it back to life!)
The reason I want one is for astronomy outreach - a nice smaller scope that I can teach young and upcoming astronomers how to use setting circles, balance up a scope, polar align etc etc - so they can gain experience.
Well - I am now involved in a youth educational group with Port Macquarie Astronomical Association – the Cassini Group https://www.portastronomy.com.au/cassini-group/
hence my quest for such a scope..
