Ay Carina! I know, I know, another Carina Nebula, but my scope is new and I had to give it a go!

Little over 3 hours and 20 minutes here. Shot with my Esprit 100mm and unmodded Canon 6D.

Made up of several exposure lengths.
10 x 10 minutes to try get the fainter stuff
20 x 5 minutes for well yeah, most of the stuff
25 x 10 seconds for the core

Had a bit of trouble processing the core and trying to blend it in. Still trying to get back into the swing of processing after all these years but I am enjoying it! Probably a little too saturated? But it's sometimes hard to hold back on that slider in Photoshop :help:

Any feedback is always welcome and thanks for looking!

Hey mate that’s a great shot. I think you’ve done really well taming the bright areas and the colour is nice to my eye too. But the way- your Flickr album is incredible!

Thanks heaps Dave. Pretty crazy how bright that core is, blown out in almost anything more than 10 second exposures. Glad the colour is good, my monitor is a little misleading. I try check the images on different devices before I upload them. And thank you, glad you had a look at my Flickr album too!

Cheers Geoff, much appreciated!
