Thanks to much help ;) and instructions from Doug (dugnsuz), I am now able to get PhotoShop to do all the super-duper things I wanted it to

Thanks Doug :)

Here is my Orion Nebula in Ha-Alpha re-processed with Diffraction Spikes to give it more of a 'Starry' look,

and reduction of 'blobby' stars!

Oh, and a frame just for looks.

I hope you like it :)

Super stuff again Ken .

I'm starting to feel sorry for your Orion images though. There musn't be a single pixel you haven't bled completely dry! :P

Cheers -

Thanks everyone :)

I certainly am, John.

And No, no water in the Lake yet. Just mud.

I clicked on 'make diffraction spikes'

I reckon I might be able to find 3 or 4 more pixels I haven't murdered yet

Geez Ken
You've mastered that stuff pretty quickly!
Well done - great pic and presentation.
Now let's talk commission!
Cheers, Keep 'em coming. (Are you going to reprocess everything!?)

Commission? I'll send you a FREE copy of everything I re-process :)

 Probably! When the Moons too bright, or the clouds come in, I gotta do something

All your fault! :D

A request then...
I'd like to see what you'll do with your Horsehead Toucam pic - if that achievement wasn't amazing enough!!:eyepop:
Cheers
Doug:thumbsup:

Here ya go,

Horeshead re-processed, decorated, Stars un-bloated, and colour balanced.

Sorry, best I can get it.

Thanks, you've managed to pull out a little more detail again.

I still marvel that you got one of the benchmarks of amateur astrophotography with a webcam (albeit modified)!

Cheers mate , I hope you have loads of fun with your new toys!
Doug:thumbsup:

Ken you should be very proud of what you have achieved ... capture and process both sides wired.
I like the extra detail effort with text and border. Very well done.

Not quite, Doug.
There are a few out there that amaze me with what they do with a Modded Toucam. But I'm not into trying to beat them, just do my best and have fun doing it. :)

If I like my final outcome, that makes me happy

I'm on a long learning journey, and enjoying the trip.

Well done Ken,
images look good
you're getting the best out of that equipement and I agree with your philosophy: it's not a competition, just keep trying to get the best you can
in the end, to quote a good friend, there's only one person needs to be happy with your final shot, and that's you
and you've got heaps to be happy about!
well done
