Beautiful image Chris. Love the colours and the fine detail in the outer shell.

Well done, Chris. The more I looked at the 'egg', the more detail there was to see. Love the colours, too - the shades of blue/cyan stand out well against the red background.
Cheers,
V

Thanks Jason. I am relieved that came out. As I was taking the OIII I was wondering if I was getting enough of the detail.
Thanks Steve. The egg turned out well and in my full size uncompressed version it looks even better. And I agree with the colour - I almost pushed towards a darker blue, but think this contrasted better.
I might even look into getting this printed I think.

A stunning image. Only improvement I can see to an already outstanding image is more colour in the stars they look a bit monochromatic on my monitor.

Thanks Nik.
I'm hoping that's the jpeg doing that. Looking at my original it seems ok and I think perhaps it does have better star colour. I process that separately through SPCC to get the calibrated colours.
There's a temptation to make a mosaic to include more of the backdrop but I think I'll keep that other area for its own image and focus.

That's a fabulous rendition of this object Chris. Great detail on the egg itself and nicely balanced surrounds.

Nice shell around the yoke, a cracking image, not ovum done with a unique palette too, you haven't poached that from anyone, one for the albumin.

Thanks Pete! It was a good fit for the focal length.
 Impressive, precisely boiled.
And I read it out to my wife who groaned appropriately. :)
Thanks Stephane.

Ok, ok, egg jokes aside, let's recoup and lay them to rest, good effort on this Gallus favourite

The OIII outer ring is hard to get fully - this is a fine rendition.

Thanks Mark.
I decided to get this one printed for the wall - the first to go up. Got a metal print, here's a crappy phone camera pic of the result: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/921166867098378250/1123101536000671774/PXL_20230627_040226450.MP.jpg :)
