I stumbled upon this one by chance. Not using any goto mounts so was hunting for Lagoon (was still too low) when I took a shot of Antares and saw M4. Only took a handful so not much data but well worth looking at further.

Photo with Canon 6D f5.6 300mm. 15x20sec.

Hey Roberto, the Antares region is very rich with gas and dust. One of my favourite parts of the sky. You weren't too far off from the Lagoon Nebula. With your image, I think you might have some dew forming on your optics. It's very annoying but can be fixed with dew heaters. They aren't expensive as new you can get them off Amazon or Ebay

As Jason says, a dew heater looks like a must have for you. Getting more data of that area may surprise you with what you will find - it's a fantastic area of the night sky.

Cheers,
Mark

Nice try Roberto. Have another go on a clearer night or with dew control and be ready for the WOW ;)

Thanks for the comments. This was after the camera had been out a few hours but hadn't considered dew. Will look into this.

Roberto,
Very promising!
(You even recorded NGC 6144 - between Antares and M4)
