Ok - here is the next shot from the last new moon weekend.

It is M24 in Sag. 2x10min RGB STL-11000m and FSQ-106.

I am still learning to put together these tricolour shots so feel free to commment or critique.

IMO, I think it's a little bit contrasty.

Do you have a smaller version availiable?
That is way too big for my dial-up... :(

Tack sharp Monte, its a lovely image. Only thing I can pick up is that you have clipped of data on the dark end of the histogram. Another go at processing this and being careful would stop this...but well done!

That's a great image Monte.
A good one to use in a "count the stars" competition.
Must have been tricky to process, I think it looks like the black areas are a little bit overdone.
Still, a great shot, well done.

Hi monte looks like you just need to work on your rgb ratios to get your colour right..other than that its good.
that 106 works a treat ah?
I to have a stl and still learning the ropes!!:2thumbs: ::)

Nice image Monte. Your system is working well for you. One thing though, in addition to the comment already made re clipping, an inspection of the histogram for each colour shows that green is not clipped, and this, or rather the fact that red and blue are clipped has given the overall image a green cast.

cheers,
Doug

Thanks Guys - in particular Doug for the heads up on the clipping. I am happy with my start but can see I have a long way to go.

To dear "Skelty" thanks for the kind words. Keep in touch. It's nice to have contact with other Tak/STL people.
