Captured a few objects last week under a near full moon with my trusty old 6 Newt probably for the last time as its being retired to make way for the new 8 Carbon fibre
NGC 3372 Carina Outer Arm Region near variable Star SAO 251080
IC 4628 Prawn Nebula
Both objects around 4 hours of data ea ( 85 x 3 min and 89 x 3 min dithered subs )
EQ6-R pro mount
ZWO2600MC cooled to -10C , Gain 101
Antlia ALPT OSC 5nm Dualband filter
EQMOD and Ascom Stellarium
APT
PHD2 Multistar guiding ( 0.50 to 0.65 arc sec total )
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.8
Linear data sets loaded via Compose
OSC Bi Colour SHO colour mapping
Added Synthetic Luminance version for fine detail viewing
Only managed 4 hours each which is not enough to improve SNR and bring out more fine outer detail especially with a OSC but it was a couple of enjoyable nights imaging just the same
Poor weather has now returned for a while , so cant complain, April and early May have been pretty good in Sydney
Comments welcome
Thanks
