Attached is an image of the penumbral lunar eclipse that occurred this morning. Taken from Sydney, Australia with a Skywatcher 72 Evostar refractor and Canon 600D. As eclipses come in pairs this lunar eclipse follows the total solar eclipse last month.

The image shows the uneclipsed Full moon taken on Friday May 5th on the left for comparison.

There was a darkening of the lunar edge. Subtle but distinct and pretty.

Love eclipses.

Nice comparison images of the subtle effect of the penumbral eclipse . Completely forgot about it last night and packed up the gear just after midnight, doh.
